Tuition Tax Receipts (T2202 and T4A)

T2202, Tuition and Enrolment Certificate
The tax form T2202 is automatically produced for the sum of eligible amounts applicable to the respective calendar year for each student. T2202 forms will be available through Self-Service on the last day of February of the following year. Please use Edge or Chrome on a computer or laptop to download your tax receipt.
On February 29, 2024 T2202s for both credit and non-credit courses will be available online to students for the 2023 taxation year.
Exceptions - Students meeting the following criteria will need to contact the Office of the Registrar for T2202 generation:
- Students for whom we do not have a Social Insurance Number
- Students for whom we do not have a Canadian or USA mailing address
- Students on financial hold

Understanding your T2202
To qualify for a T2202 students must
- be enrolled in courses at the post-secondary level, and;
- spend not less than 12 hours a month in the course, and;
- as part of enrolling in one or more post-secondary courses, are enrolled in a program that is not less than 3 weeks.
Please Note:
- Courses and Programs where a student is paid a wage does not qualify for a T2202.
- Courses and Programs where a student does not pay tuition and fees does not qualify for a T2202.
- Student must have paid over $100 in tuition and fees in a year to qualify for a T2202.

T4A Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income
Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations requires Keyano College to issue T4A slips for all discounts, honorariums, scholarships, bursaries and awards disbursed to students in a given calendar year.

Non-Canadian citizens will not be issued a Social Insurance Number unless they seek employment in Canada. If you are granted a scholarship, bursary or award and do not have a SIN please visit the Service Canada website for information on how to apply for a SIN.
