Apprenticeships  Credit Programs Continuing Education & Extended Studies Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Scholarships & Bursaries 

Apply to credit programs

Students interested in credit programs are required to apply using the province-wide online application at ApplyAlberta. We start processing your application on the date we receive it, so we recommend applying as early as possible.

Application Deadline

For most programs, applications are accepted beginning at 12:00 PM MST October 1 for the next Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring semester for domestic students only. Applications for international students on 12:00 PM MST November 1st. Please submit your application as soon as possible as many programs fill up quickly.

 

 

 Submit your application 

Apply online through ApplyAlberta and choose Keyano College as your institution of choice. You must pay a non-refundable $54 (domestic) or $107 (international) application fee with a credit card to submit your application. If you choose to apply to more than one program, you must submit another application.

Submit your official transcripts
Current high school students should submit copies of their first and second semester of enrolment to admissions@keyano.ca.

If you attended high school or post-secondary in Alberta - your official transcripts will be requested on your behalf upon application.

If you attended high school or post-secondary outside of Alberta - you will need to contact your high school and/or post-secondary institution to request official transcripts be sent directly to the Office of the Registrar.

After you apply for Domestic applicants

You will receive a MyKeys Admission Portal invite to your personal email. Please select the Access Portal link on email, it will direct you to the portal and there you can create your password for your MyKeys Account. MyKeys Admission Portal Instructions can provide further information on the portal.  

  1. If you are offered a seat in the program, you will need to pay a non-transferable, non-refundable $250 admission deposit to accept your seat. Applicants will have 10-business days to accept their offer, if your offer is expired please email admissions@keyano.ca, your offer may be reinstated based on program availability. 
  2. Your acceptance/conditional acceptance will be emailed to you once your admission deposit has been paid.
  3. Have you taken courses at another institution? You may be eligible for Advanced Credit.

  4. Do you have relevant work experience in your field of study? You may be eligible for Prior Learn Assessment Recognition.

  5. Register for your classes.
  6. Meet with one of our Student Advisors to help with your academic pathway.
After you apply for International applicants

You will receive a MyKeys Admission Portal invite to your personal email. Our admissions process values both academic achievement and English language proficiency, while also prioritizing diversity. We aim to create an inclusive environment that reflects diverse perspectives, and actively encourage applications from international students. Diversity is considered in the selection process to ensure a rich and dynamic educational experience for all.

  1. If you are offered a seat in the program, you will need to pay a non-transferable, non-refundable $5,000 admission deposit to accept your seat. Applicants will have 10-business days to accept their offer, if your offer is expired please email admissions@keyano.ca, your offer may be reinstated based on program capacity. 
  2. You will receive an acceptance email from your admission portal. Admissions will also email your Letter of Acceptance, Tuition Maximum Letter, Co-op Letter (if your program requires one) as well a Provincial Attestation Letter once your admission deposit has been paid.
  3. Submit proof of a valid study permit on your MyKeys portal. Accepted students must submit proof of their study permit on or prior to the deadlines below. Acceptance into the program will be revoke and students will be dropped from all registered courses if proof has not be submitted by the deadline. Acceptance may be reinstated only if proof of valid study permit is submitted and the program capacity allows. 
    • Fall Intake - deadline August 1st
    • Winter Intake - deadline December 1st
    • Summer Intake - deadline April 1st

The study permit is being collected exclusively to verify your eligibility to commence your studies at Keyano College. No other details on your study permit will be assessed or used for any other purpose by Keyano College. It is the student's responsibility to adhere to all regulations concerning their study permit. Apply to Continuing Education programs

Keyano Continuing Education & Extended Studies offers programs and courses to help develop your professional skills, provide professional certificates and designations, or prepare you for a career in the trade industries. We offer our courses, programs, workshops, and seminars in-class, online or through blended delivery.

Familiarize yourself with the specific course information including prerequisites needed, such as assessments, licenses, credentials, etc.

How to Register for Continuing Education & Extended Studies Courses

When registering student MUST include:

  • Name
  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Birth date, and
  • Valid email address

*Social Insurance Number must also be included for student to receive a T2202 for income tax purpose.
