Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition

Launched in 2005, the Alberta Deans of Business (ADB) Case Competition enhances business education through a province-wide event hosted by a member institution. Students are presented with a challenging business scenario and must work in teams to develop a strategic solution. In forming this recommendation, students must consider the resources required, the needs of all stakeholders, and the changing landscape of business.

The multi-day competition includes a networking dinner, keynote address, and concludes with awards presented by judges from the business community.

Keyano College is excited to welcome students and faculty across the province to Fort McMurray in hosting the 2024/2025 Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition, an event that showcases the exceptional talent, innovation, and teamwork of Alberta’s brightest business students. We are excited to welcome participants, judges, and supporters to our campus for this prestigious competition. This year’s event promises to be an inspiring and engaging experience, celebrating the future of business leadership in Alberta.

Event kicks off with a keynote address and formal dinner, where teams are assigned their identities and presentation orders.

Registration cost is:

  • $1200.00 per team
  • $125.00 per Dean

We recommend staying at the Merit Hotel Inns and Suites, conveniently located just across the street from Keyano. When making your reservations, please call 780-714-9444 ext. 2 and provide the agent the code as "Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition" to apply the group rates quoted below:
  • Standard room one queen bed the rate is $109 per night plus taxes for single occupancy.
  • Standard room one king bed the rate is $119 per night plus taxes for single occupancy.
