Keyano College is thrilled to receive a substantial donation of $85,000 from the Royal Bank of Canada to the RBC Career Transition Program over the next two years.

The program, spanning six weeks, has been designed to equip participants with the skills necessary for professional success. It includes computer skills, customer service etiquette, business communication, employment strategies, and safety protocols.

Suman Jafri, Branch Manager at RBC, stated, “We are proud to invest in Keyano College. At RBC, we are committed to educational and community advancement, ensuring learners gain new skills, expand their networks, and get the necessary workplace experience to thrive in today’s economy.”

One of the unique aspects of the program is the incorporation of a two-week volunteer placement with businesses and organizations in Fort McMurray, including RBC. This invaluable experience allows students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and gain insights into their chosen fields.

“We are extremely grateful for this generous donation from RBC,” said Dr. Coert Erasmus, Dean of the School of Business, University Studies, & Academic Upgrading at Keyano College. “This contribution will significantly enhance our program’s impact on learners, provide a personalized learning experience, and increase their employability in the region.”
