The Keyano Theatre has played an integral role in the community, serving over 35,000 patrons during the 2019 – 2020 season. With the Theatre just having celebrated its belated 40th anniversary, we recognize what an asset it is to the residents of Fort McMurray and the impact it has on our community! Local performers of all ages volunteer their time to star in our drama series plays. Production companies, both locally owned and travelling groups, produce their shows on our stage. Parents gather to watch their children sing and dance in annual Christmas concerts and dance recitals. This is why it is important to maintain our Theatre, so everyone can enjoy these types of performances for many years to come!
In light of COVID-19 and the flood, Keyano College has been unable to host our major fundraising event, the Gala, for the last two years. We have had to put some initiatives on hold without our Gala due to a lack of funding. This Giving Tuesday, we ask you to join us in giving back to the community by supporting Keyano Theatre. Funds raised during Giving Tuesday will be put towards much-needed upgrades in the Theatre.
There are many ways to support Keyano Theatre during this Giving Season. Donate today, or visit one of our Giving Tuesday Ambassadors between November 30 - December 24, 2021. Participate in these promotions, and a percentage of sales will be donated to our Giving Tuesday Campaign.
