Keyano College’s Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) signs a sponsorship agreement with Pembina Pipeline Corporation

Keyano College’s Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) is set to become a cornerstone of cultural engagement and education. The ISC has partnered with Pembina Pipeline Corporation on a multi-year sponsorship for the Elder/Auntie In-Residence Office. This office will be a vital space supporting the cultural, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Indigenous students.

The ISC’s grand opening is scheduled for March 2025. The Center will feature a ceremonial area, learning commons, communal kitchen, Indigenous art display, and a dedicated space for the Elder-in-residence program. The Centre aims to foster inclusivity, a sense of belonging, and celebrate Indigenous culture. By providing a dedicated space for traditional teaching and learning methods, Keyano College hopes to increase Indigenous student enrollment, improve graduation rates through enhanced support and representation, and offer more educational opportunities for non-Indigenous individuals to deepen their understanding of Indigenous heritage.
