Canadian Natural Resources Limited Gymnasium

Canadian Natural Resources Limited Gymnasium has over 15,000 square feet of hardwood playing surface, ideal for basketball, volleyball and a variety of other sporting activities. Perfect for tournaments and league play of any calibre, our gymnasium can function as one centralized court or three full sized individual courts. The Canadian Natural Resources Limited Gymnasium is home to the Keyano College Huskies and with spectator seating for some 750 individuals, there are plenty of opportunities for fans, family and friends to come down and cheer on their favourite player.

 

Shell Field

Shell Field has a turfed playing surface for field-type activities, making it suited for indoor soccer, lacrosse, rugby, football, ultimate Frisbee etc. Home to the Fort McMurray Youth Soccer Association, Shell Field is surrounded by regulation field boards to ensure game safety and enjoyment. Bleacher seating for 220 provides ample seating for all. This field has the capabilities to be divided into smaller playing surfaces for our younger participants or remain as a regulation field for the most competitive of players. Whether it is regular season play or a weekend tournament, Shell Field has the capabilities to accommodate both.

 

Alberta Building Trades Field

Alberta Building Trades Field provides endless opportunities for recreation and sporting activities. In excess of 14,000 square feet, the synthetic floor surface can easily accommodate floor hockey, dodge ball, dry-land training, and many others activities. This playing surface, like the others, has the capability to be utilized as a whole area or divided into smaller individual playing surfaces accommodating tournaments, league play, and/or individual training sessions. Basketball nets were added in 2010 for extra drop-in play.  Bleacher seating for 220 spectators provides viewing opportunities for parents watching over their young ones, athletes on the side lines as well as fans and curious observers.

 

North American Construction Group Fitness Studio

North American Construction Group Fitness Studio is a spacious hardwood floored studio ideal for a variety of activities. At 1700 square feet this studio space will facilitate a number of training opportunities for members and guests including youth and adult sport and wellness programming. In close proximity to the fitness centre, the group fitness studio will provide an opportunity to engage in aerobic classes, strength training classes, yoga, Pilates, and a host of other activities.

 

Northland Kinesiology Room

With floor-to-ceiling windows, this meeting room has the best natural lighting in the building.  Located on the second floor, this room is accessible by stairs or the elevator.  There is everything you would need for a meeting including white board, LCD projector, computer and wireless internet.  This is one of our larger meeting areas and can accommodate various corporate set ups, let us know what style works for you and we do the rest.

 

Bucyrus Community Studio

Bucyrus Community Studio provides 2000 square feet of opportunity for the community. With its specialized impact floor, this studio is ideal for dance, martial arts and a variety of community programming. As our region continues to grow so too does the demand for quality, accessible, facilities, and this is what the Bucyrus Community Studio will provide. 

 

Long Boat Landing Fitness Centre

The Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre is proud to provide its members and visitors with a spacious, open concept, state of the art fitness centre. With floor to ceiling windows surrounding the exercise environment, members and visitors will be welcomed by natural sunlight as well as a view of the very trees and sky that make the Great North so beautiful.

 

In excess of 6,500 square feet, the Long Boat Landing Fitness Centre is equipped with exceptional exercise equipment, and plenty of options to accommodate every participant. Each of the 30+ pieces of cardio equipment are outfitted with its own television monitor for your enjoyment. This is multi-tasking at its best, so exercise while catching up on all the day's news, enjoying your favorite television show, or rooting for your favorite sports team.

 

The Long Boat Landing Fitness Centre will also provide all the equipment needed for your strength and conditioning programs. A full range of free weights and strength training machines is available for use. Regardless if you are just beginning your journey to health or have been a fitness buff for years, the Long Boat Landing Fitness Centre portion of the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre is ready and able to satisfy your activity needs. Long Lake Running Track

The Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre's indoor running track provides many opportunities for both members and visitors alike. We will take the guess work out of your program, because now you will know exactly how long you are walking. This four lane track provides 180 meters of walking distance, and with a birds eye view of the gymnasium below, you'll be surely entertained as you exercise.

 

Have you had an injury? Come to the indoor track to get back on your feet. We ensure a level and uniform surface for you to commence your road to recovery, and the shock absorbing capabilities of the floors surface will ease you on your journey.

 

The Long Lake Running Track also allows you to beat the elements. Whether it is the heat of the summer or the cold Northern winter you are trying to avoid, our indoor track will provide a comfortable environment for all participants.

 

Regardless if you are training for a marathon, walking for your health, or sprinting for gold, the Long Lake Running Track of the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre will prove beneficial for you and all your training needs.
