 MORNING YOGA CLASSES

Yin Yoga Intensive

Yin Yoga is often described as 'acupuncture without needles' as it targets meridians, organs and connective tissue.  Although most poses incorporate the lower body (this is because all meridians run through the spine) there are poses that involve the upper body.  It is a beautiful blend of asana and meditation.  Students will be asked to bring at least 2 props (blankets, towels, or pillows) should they need support in various poses.  Yin yoga enhances the range of motion in the connective tissue (joints, ligaments, tendons) of the lower spine, pelvis and hips by holding the (primarily seated) postures for longer periods of time.

Flow Yoga

Are you ready to spice-up your yoga practice? Then, Saturday Flow Yoga is the class for you! The dynamic routine is designed for all levels, mostly for those who are looking for a 'yoga work-out' with a bit of a challenge and a nice sweat.  Flow Yoga incorporates Ashtanga standing asanas (poses) to the rhythm of R&B, soft jazz and dance music.  The 90 minutes practice slows-down at the end with a seated sequence, concluding with breathing exercises in padmasana (stillness) and a nice Savasana (full relaxation).  Afterwards, you will feel energized and centered, all set for your weekend!
