From MBA to Leadership – it’s all at the Continuing Education Showcase

It’s your one-stop shop for all your Continuing Education needs. Whether it is an MBA you wish to pursue, or a course in Leadership Development – Keyano’s Continuing Education showcase, which will be held on Tuesday, June 19 will have answers for you. The free event will run from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Bob Lamb Industry Education Centre.

Continuing Education provides relevant, quality educational programming geared to life-long learners and taught by industry professionals. A plethora of programs and certificates include   Project Management, Supply Management, Maintenance Asset Planning, Construction Management, Contract Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Professional Bookkeeping, and English as an Additional Language to name just a few.

You can register for the University of Alberta’s MBA program at the Showcase – next intake is starting in August 2013 at Keyano College. Potential students will be provided with the opportunity to speak to a representative from the University.  The initiative is built around plant schedules and runs for three years with 57 credits.

Keyano’s new Continuing Education calendar will also be available for a sneak peek with region-wide distribution slated for this week.

Cathy Davis Herbert, Dean, Lifelong Learning Division, Keyano College, says the showcase is a direct result of “client and community demands for an opportunity to pre-plan their training and professional development requirements for the coming year - before everyone moves into vacation mode.”

“Regulars said they wanted to get in early before high demand seats, especially in professionally-certified programs, fill. Those industry-recognized credentials are incredibly valuable because they give participants the accreditations needed to advance in current careers or make a career change.  Keyano’s Continuing Education listens to our customers because we know we have to earn their business with ongoing attention to program credibility, quality and accessibility plus great customer service,” added Davis Herbert.

Registration for the 2012/2013 courses officially begins on June 25.  This showcase is your opportunity to beat the rush and register at the event.
