Keyano College has a new leader and he is Dr. Kevin Nagel. As the institution’s 6th President & CEO, he started work on April 4 following the retirement of Jim Foote.
 

Born in Regina, SK, he received his MA and PhD from the University of Victoria, B.C., where his doctoral research with more than 200 organizations from across Canada focused on the influence of values (and culture) on organizational performance and functioning. He earned his BA (Honours) in Economics from the University of Regina, SK.
 

Dr. Nagel has had significant leadership experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to coming to Keyano College, he was the Dean of the JR Shaw School of Business, School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts and Faculty of Undergraduate Studies at NAIT. Passionate about sustainability leadership, Dr. Nagel believes that there is an important role for the College to play in Northeastern Alberta as it relates to sustainability, ranging from incorporating relevant content and principles in our curriculum to participating in applied research projects with our community and industry partners.
