CHILD CARE COUNSELLOR

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Child Care Counsellors work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members. Collectively the team ensures excellence in service delivery to emotionally and behaviourally disturbed adolescents in CASA’s Transitional Group Care Program and Supported Independent Living Services in Fort McMurray. The Child Care Counsellors provide behaviour management, guidance, support, supervision and case management to the adolescents in the programs.
Applicants are required to have a diploma or degree in a related human services field. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered. The successful candidate will understand the unique dynamics that exist within the Aboriginal and Métis cultures and possess proven communication and collaboration skills. Previous experience working with adolescentswould be considered an asset. Shifts, weekend work and a valid drivers’ licence is required.
