Individual Rights Policy

Keyano College wishes to ensure that individuals are treated equally in accordance with their circumstances with respect to their dignity and rights. Therefore, the College has both a legal obligation and ethical responsibility to provide a learning, living and working environment where individuals are able to interact free of harassment. It is the policy of Keyano College that harassment of students, staff and guests on campus is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

This Policy is intended to combat harassment, to establish procedures to handle complaints, to resolve problems, and to remedy situations when harassment occurs. All complaints of discrimination and harassment will be taken seriously and will be handled confidentially and impartially. The College will offer educational and training programs designed to support the administration of this Policy and to ensure that all members of the College community are aware of their responsibilities. The Individual Rights Advisory Committee will initiate such educational and training programs.
